PTI Confirms Ongoing Negotiations with Government, Asad Qaiser Says

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former National Assembly Speaker, Asad Qaiser, confirmed on Thursday that the party is currently in negotiations with the government. Speaking to the media, Qaiser stated, "Contact has been made for negotiations, and now it remains to be seen how seriously the government moves forward." He emphasized that PTI is closely monitoring the situation and awaiting the government's sincerity in resolving their issues.

Qaiser further warned that if the government adopts a hardline stance, PTI will be left with no option but to resort to protests. "If the government puts us against the wall, then what other option do we have, other than to protest?" he added, signaling PTI’s readiness to take to the streets if talks fail.

Regarding the controversy surrounding Bushra Bibi, the wife of former PTI chairman Imran Khan, Qaiser clarified that she remains "apolitical," asserting that all orders and decisions come directly from Imran Khan, not from Bushra Bibi.

As PTI prepares for its planned protest on Sunday, November 24, Qaiser shared details of the new strategy for mobilizing participants. Workers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s districts—Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, and Nowshera—will travel to Islamabad via Swabi, while participants from other districts will use different routes to reach the capital.

In related developments, PTI's sister, Aleema Khan, revealed that PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur have been tasked with engaging in further negotiations with the government.

Meanwhile, the federal government has taken precautionary measures by deploying paramilitary forces along the main roads of Islamabad. Containers have been placed in various parts of the city to block roads in case of unrest, and Section 144 has been enforced until January, prohibiting public gatherings.
