The University of Balochistan has announced that it will be closed for winter vacations from December 16, 2024, to February 28, 2025. This extended break will apply to all campuses, except the one in Kharan. During this period, academic activities will be suspended.
However, not all university staff will be on break. Deans and Heads of Departments are required to stay on duty to oversee and protect university assets. Additionally, non-teaching staff will also remain on duty during the winter vacation. Hostel Provosts have been instructed to ensure that all students vacate the hostels by December 14, 2024, before the vacation begins.
The decision to close the university for this long winter break was made with the approval of the Vice Chancellor.
