Karachi Residents Enjoy a Glimpse of Cold Weather

SEA VIEW KARACHI

Karachi residents are finally experiencing a much-awaited drop in temperatures, bringing a refreshing change to the typically warm climate of the city. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), temperatures in Karachi have fallen from 34°C to 28°C, offering a welcome respite. The temperature has further dropped to 19°C in some areas, allowing Karachiites to enjoy a cool breeze and a more comfortable atmosphere.

Many residents have embraced the cool weather by wearing light jackets and enjoying hot beverages. The pleasant shift in temperature has been a welcome change after the city’s usually hot and humid conditions.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz explained that the cold weather in Karachi doesn’t arrive suddenly, but rather as a gradual shift. He also clarified that there is no chance of rainfall in Karachi this season. Despite the cooler temperatures, Karachiites may miss the charm of winter rains, which are expected to be below normal this year. The dry spell is forecast to persist until December 10, leaving many parts of the country, including Karachi, without much-needed rain.

While Karachi experiences this mild cold spell, areas like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan are also unlikely to see rainfall in the near future. However, light snowfall is expected at Babusar Top, adding a bit of seasonal charm to the northern regions of Pakistan.
