Gandapur: PTI Protest Will Continue Until Demands Are Met

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has made it clear that the PTI-led protest in Islamabad on November 24 will not end until the party’s key demands are met. Speaking to the media, Gandapur strongly reaffirmed his loyalty to PTI Chairman Imran Khan, stating that the protest is part of a broader fight for Pakistan’s future.

“We must reach D-Chowk, and our protest will continue until our demands are fulfilled,” Gandapur said. Among the top priorities, he emphasized the immediate release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and party workers, along with the protection of Pakistan’s Constitution. He also highlighted the oppressive tactics being used against PTI supporters, mentioning that their peaceful marches have often been met with tear gas and gunfire.

Gandapur issued a stern warning to the federal government: “If there is any damage or destruction, the government will be fully responsible.” He further stated that any talks with the government will only take place after Imran Khan’s release, underscoring his unwavering commitment to following the PTI leader’s directives. The KP CM also criticized the government for closing motorways and highways in a panicked response to the protest, which he described as a disruption to public life.

Despite the government’s crackdown, Gandapur assured the public that the protest would remain peaceful, and he blamed the government for causing unnecessary hardship to citizens by blocking vital routes across the country.

In a related development, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a discussion with PTI leader Barrister Gohar on the situation surrounding the protest. Naqvi reiterated the government’s obligation to follow the orders of the Islamabad High Court, which has prohibited protests and sit-ins in the capital. He also informed Gohar about the arrival of a high-level Belarusian delegation in Islamabad, which is expected to be in the city until November 27, further complicating the situation.
