The ISPR confirmed that these terrorists were involved in various terrorist activities, including attacks on security forces and the killing of innocent civilians.
The military also stated that a "sanitisation operation" is underway in the area to ensure that no other militants are hiding and to eliminate any remaining threats. The statement emphasized Pakistan's commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country, highlighting that the armed forces are determined to wipe out the menace of militancy and restore security.

According to a report by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), terrorist violence and counterterrorism operations have sharply increased in the third quarter of 2024, with a 90% rise in fatalities from terrorist attacks. The majority of these incidents have occurred in KP and Balochistan, marking the most violent period in the region in a decade.
