Quaid-e-Azam University closed due to Nov 24 PTI protest

Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) has announced the closure of its campus from Friday to Monday due to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest scheduled for November 24. The protest is expected to cause significant disruptions in the capital, including potential road closures, which prompted the university's decision.

In a notification issued by the university administration, it was confirmed that all academic activities, including exams, would be suspended on Friday and Monday. Additionally, the university's transport services will not be available during these days. The university stated that classes and exams would only resume once the roads in the area are cleared and reopened.

The administration also assured students that they would be given enough time to prepare for and retake any exams that were postponed due to the closure.

The PTI protest, organized by party leaders, aims to gather a large crowd in Islamabad on Sunday. PTI leader Barrister Saif had earlier mentioned that they were making arrangements for the public gathering and that party leaders were holding meetings to finalize plans. Saif emphasized that the party would not use public services for the gathering, but it was important to have rescue services on standby in case of any emergencies. He also clarified that the protest's main purpose was to demand the release of PTI's founder, Imran Khan, and other party leaders.

With protests and political unrest becoming more common in the capital, the closure of universities like QAU is becoming a part of the ongoing adjustments students must make in response to these events. The political tension in Pakistan remains high as protests continue to call for the release of political leaders, especially Imran Khan. #PTIProtest #QAU #ImranKhan #PakistanProtests #IslamabadNews #UniversityClosure #PoliticalUnrest #StudentLife #PakistanPolitics
