PM Shehbaz-led govt approves scholarships for 100 Bangladeshi students

On Wednesday, the government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved scholarships for 100 Bangladeshi students, marking a significant step in strengthening the educational ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh. These scholarships are designed to provide Bangladeshi students the opportunity to pursue higher education in Pakistan, opening doors for them to access quality learning at Pakistani universities.

This move comes as part of the growing bilateral relationship between the two countries, especially after the previous government, which was perceived as being aligned with India, was ousted. Following this change, Pakistan has made efforts to rebuild and strengthen its ties with Bangladesh, including offering opportunities for students from Bangladesh to study in Pakistan.

The Pakistani government has also expressed its appreciation for Bangladesh’s gesture in allowing Pakistani students to be admitted to the University of Dhaka, which has contributed to improving diplomatic and educational exchanges between the two nations.

The scholarships are part of broader efforts to foster educational cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh after a long hiatus. The Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka is playing a central role in coordinating this initiative. Pakistani universities will select students from Bangladeshi universities through their respective portals, ensuring a transparent and smooth process for the scholarship awards.

In addition to the scholarships, Pakistan’s recent delivery of a cargo vessel to Chittagong is another example of the growing cooperation between the two countries in various sectors, including trade and education.

Trending: The approval of scholarships for Bangladeshi students highlights a positive shift in relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. As educational exchanges resume, there is hope that these efforts will further strengthen diplomatic and people-to-people ties, paving the way for greater collaboration in the future. #PakistanBangladeshRelations #EducationalExchanges #Scholarships #HigherEducation #Diplomacy #ShehbazSharif #PakistanEducation #BangladeshStudents #BilateralTies #PakistanNews
