After swearing allegiance to JuA’s leadership, Wali became an active member of the terror group.
He was instrumental in orchestrating and facilitating the January 2023 attack at the Police Lines mosque, which was carried out by a suicide bomber, Qari, an Afghan national. Wali’s responsibilities included conducting reconnaissance, providing the bomber with police uniforms, and arranging the logistics for the attack. In return for his role, Wali reportedly received 200,000 PKR.

Wali’s extremist activities did not stop there. He is suspected of involvement in multiple attacks, including the targeted assassination of a Christian pastor in 2022, bombings along Warsak Road, and grenade attacks at Peshawar’s Gilani Market in December 2023. He also allegedly provided weapons and explosives to other JuA operatives in Peshawar and Lahore, enabling further violence against police and religious minorities.
Through a hawala network, Wali received monthly payments between 40,000–50,000 PKR, which funded his terrorist operations. He even smuggled weapons and explosives across the border to support attacks planned within Pakistan.
