Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced on Tuesday night that normalcy is expected to return to Islamabad soon. In a press briefing, Naqvi revealed that roads, schools, the internet, and the Metro bus service would be up and running again by Wednesday morning. Schools are set to reopen on Thursday, and the Metro bus service will resume operations along with internet services. Roads, which were blocked during the protests, are expected to be cleared by Wednesday.

During the briefing, Naqvi was asked about the whereabouts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Imran Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi. The minister confirmed that both are still at large. He explained that the government had offered PTI the option to move the protest to Sangjani, but the party refused and insisted on marching toward D-Chowk in Islamabad, a key location for protests. Naqvi referred to Bushra Bibi as the “acting president” of PTI, pointing out that she rejected the directives of her husband, PTI founder Imran Khan, to change the protest's location.

Naqvi also made it clear that the government would not engage in negotiations under threat or intimidation. He criticized PTI for causing damage worth billions of rupees during the protests and asked how many more times the party planned to engage in such actions. The minister also stated that legal cases would be filed against all key individuals involved in the violence and disturbances during the PTI protests.

The crackdown on PTI protesters had already begun in Islamabad, with law enforcement launching operations in key areas like Kulsoom Plaza Chowk and Blue Area. Over 500 PTI workers were arrested, and the security forces cleared the roads and reinstated blockades to prevent further disruptions. The crackdown involved police, Rangers, and ATS commandos. Meanwhile, it was reported that both Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur had left the protest site in the same vehicle, and there had been no contact with them since.

In addition, Naqvi mentioned that decisive action would soon be taken against Afghan nationals involved in the disturbances, with more details to be announced soon. He also emphasized that investigations would continue, and CCTV footage would be gathered from areas where media offices had been attacked.
