On Saturday, two First Information Reports (FIRs) were filed against former First Lady Bushra Bibi in Okara and Bahawalnagar, following controversial remarks she made in a recent press conference. The statements were deemed provocative and allegedly aimed at inciting religious tensions, especially in relation to Saudi Arabia.

FIR in Okara: Religious Hatred and National Security Concerns

The FIR registered at Sadar police station in Okara accuses Bushra Bibi of making statements that could fuel religious hatred. The complainant, Ahmed, expressed concern that her remarks could provoke religious chaos and even lead to civil unrest in Pakistan. According to the FIR, her comments undermined Pakistan's democratic values and the country’s long-standing tradition of allowing individuals to practice their religion without inciting hatred.

Following the registration of the FIR, the Okara police station has initiated an investigation into the matter.



FIR in Bahawalnagar: Impact on Foreign Relations

A similar FIR has also been lodged in Bahawalnagar, where a complainant named Asif has accused Bushra Bibi of damaging Pakistan's international reputation. The FIR in Bahawalnagar claims that her remarks harmed Pakistan’s foreign relations, particularly with Saudi Arabia, and negatively impacted the country’s foreign policy.
