As tensions escalated in Islamabad amid a large-scale operation against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protesters, party leader Bushra Bibi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur managed to escape the capital and reportedly made their way to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Sources indicate that the two leaders have arrived in Mansehra, where they are said to be in good health.
The pair was reportedly in the Blue Area near Kulsoom Plaza in Islamabad when the security forces launched their crackdown on PTI demonstrators late on Tuesday night. As the situation became more intense, both Bushra Bibi and Gandapur quickly fled the area to avoid being caught in the ongoing operation.

In response to their escape, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that authorities are actively pursuing their whereabouts and efforts are underway to detain the two leaders. Security forces, including Rangers and army personnel, have been deployed in key areas of Islamabad, and law enforcement agencies are working to apprehend those involved in the protests.
Meanwhile, PTI's top leadership has scheduled a press conference today at 11 a.m. at the residence of Provincial Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, located at the Insaf Secretariat in Mansehra.
On the law enforcement front, Islamabad police have arrested over 400 individuals in connection with vandalism, stone-pelting, and attacks on public property during the protests. In Punjab, the total number of arrests has exceeded 800, according to a police spokesperson. The crackdown has also led to the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and other equipment, with authorities claiming that the arrested individuals were involved in violent activities designed to disrupt public order.
The security situation remains tense as the authorities continue to restrict movement. The Attock Bridge, which connects Punjab to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been sealed off with containers, further limiting access between the two provinces.
