Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set to voice the iconic character of Mufasa in the Hindi version of the highly anticipated movie Mufasa: The Lion King. Known as the 'Badshah' or 'King Khan' in the industry, Shah Rukh Khan recently shared his thoughts on the character in a promo video, drawing an emotional parallel between Mufasa’s journey and his own life.
In the video, Khan speaks passionately about Mufasa, describing him as a king who inherited solitude yet was driven by an unyielding passion. "Lekin uski ragon mein behta tha uska junoon. Aur ussi junoon se usne zameen se uth kar aasmaan ko chua (But his passion flowed in his veins. And with the same passion, he rose from the ground and touched the sky)," he says. Khan goes on to praise Mufasa's universal appeal, adding, "Many kings have ruled the earth, but he ruled everyone’s hearts." The actor then reflects on the striking similarities between Mufasa's journey and his own, saying, "Kaafi milti julti hai na yeh kahani, par yeh kahani hai Mufasa ki (This story sounds very similar, but this is the story of Mufasa)."
In an exciting family connection, Khan’s sons, Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan, are also involved in the film. Aryan voices Simba, Mufasa’s son, while AbRam voices a young Mufasa. Other prominent Bollywood actors, including Sanjay Mishra, Shreyas Talpade, Meiyang Chang, and Makarand Deshpande, have lent their voices to key characters in the movie.
