Imran Khan Faces 54 Legal Cases Across Pakistan’s Courts: Report

LAHORE – A comprehensive report detailing the legal cases registered against Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister, was submitted to the Lahore High Court (LHC). The report was presented by the Punjab Assistant Advocate General on behalf of the Inspector General of Punjab.

According to the report, Imran Khan is currently facing 54 legal cases across various courts in Pakistan. These cases span multiple regions, with 21 cases registered in Lahore, 19 cases in Rawalpindi division, seven in Sheikhupura, five in Faisalabad, and one case each in Gujranwala and Sargodha divisions.

The legal proceedings against Imran Khan cover a wide range of court types, including high courts, sessions courts, and accountability courts. These cases involve various charges, reflecting the political and legal turmoil surrounding the PTI leader.

Imran Khan is currently incarcerated in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. In addition to the cases against him, his wife, Bushra Bibi, has also been implicated in several cases related to the ongoing legal challenges. However, Bushra Bibi was granted bail on October 24, and is no longer in detention.

The ongoing legal battles have further intensified the political crisis in the country, with many supporters of Imran Khan viewing these cases as politically motivated.
