Illegal Clinics Proliferate in Multan Amid Official Negligence
Negligence by local authorities in Multan has led to a surge in illegal clinics across the city, where unqualified individuals are posing as medical professionals. In several areas, including Suraj Miani, Peeran Ghaib Road, Nawabpur, Pak Gate, and Haram Gate, fake doctors have reportedly set up clinics, some even displaying fraudulent degrees.
Some medical store owners have started treating patients without proper medical training, turning their stores into makeshift clinics. Reports indicate that certain homeopaths and store operators are freely using expired medicines, putting public health at significant risk.
The situation is even more alarming in some areas where unlicensed health workers are running clinics for pregnant women, conducting check-ups and even C-sections without any official medical certification. These individuals allegedly have connections within the health department, allowing them to receive advance warnings before health inspections or raids.
Residents of Multan are demanding urgent intervention, calling on authorities to take strict action against those operating illegal clinics and selling unapproved or expired medications. Immediate legal action is urged to protect public health and hold these so-called “death dealers” accountable
