For Domestic Consumers: If you currently pay between Rs 37.49 and Rs 52.07 per unit, your new rate for extra usage will drop to Rs 26.07 per unit, saving you between Rs 11.42 and Rs 26 per unit.
For Industrial Consumers: Businesses, who usually pay between Rs 31.79 and Rs 41.12 per unit, will see their rates drop to Rs 26.07 per unit, saving them Rs 5.72 and Rs 15.05 per unit.
For Commercial Consumers: If you’re a commercial user paying between Rs 39.53 and Rs 48.78 per unit, you’ll pay only Rs 26.07 per unit for additional usage, cutting your bills by up to Rs 13.46 to Rs 22.71 per unit.
This relief package is designed to reduce the financial burden on consumers, especially during the colder months and amidst rising costs. The government aims to provide broad benefits across all sectors, helping households, businesses, and industries save on electricity.
